My new Mac is not really a Mac

As most people already know (because I didn’t get tired of telling all the time) my Macbook died some weeks ago.

I already thought about getting a netbook for DJing because I like to travel with as less as possible and space in the DJ booth is always a rarity. Now the time had to be right and I bought a lovely Lenovo S10.

The overall building quality is better than expected (even though Lenovo is still my not-Apple favourite) and best part of it: I managed to install OS X on it!

Yes, right! Snow Leopard on a Lenovo netbook! And it is doing really well. Everything works as expected, only the ethernet interface doesn’t work because of the lack of drivers for it… Ok, it took quite a while to get it running. But the performance of this little buddy is really good and can manage to take more than 2 channels and a good bunch of effects in Live 7 at once. Stability is a no-brainer, too.
